Find a career that matters and lasts As the Instructional Designer you will design, develop, and implement effective training solutions to address workforce capability gaps. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for assessing business needs and applying instructional design methodologies to create fit-for-purpose learning outcomes. The role will also collaborate with internal project training teams and sponsors, subject matter experts, and external learning developers. Specifically, you will: Provide advice to key business stakeholders about instructional design processes and adult learning principles to undertake and document training project needs and requirements. Draft training and assessment materials aligned to agreed learning outcomes, which are authentic, fit-for-purpose, and consistent with adult learning principles. Collaborate with internal project training teams, sponsors, subject matter experts, and external learning developers to create effective training solutions. Engage with the Training Coordination team to discuss training needs, including pre, during and post course training administration requirements. Facilitate Train the Trainer sessions to equip internal trainers with the necessary skills and provide ongoing support to deliver approved training packages. The community you will join Located in Brisbane, you will report to the Senior Instructional Designer forming part of the broader People & Culture division. Your expertise You will have proven experience in instructional design and development, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Naturally, you will have previous experience with multimedia authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline / Rise or similar software and ability to build eLearning / multi-media storyboards You will also possess: Degree level qualifications in Adult Education, Learning / Training & Development, Educational Design or formal qualifications in Instructional Design Model coupled with demonstrated experience in a similar position Certificate IV in Project Management and/or proven experience project managing multiple training / learning initiatives through to execution Valid Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE10 with LLN or above) or equivalent. With excellent communication and collaboration skills, you will enjoy working effectively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts. Additionally, you will have experience in developing training materials and programs that are authentic and fit-for-purpose.
