Position Overview: As a Civil Estimator, you will play a crucial role in their project planning and execution process. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with civil engineering projects, including urban infrastructure, mining, roads, bridges, water systems, and other infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure their projects are competitive and financially viable, contributing to the overall success of the company. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather essential project information. Prepare and present bid proposals and tenders to clients. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and assess project risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods. Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Track and manage project budgets and expenditures. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil estimating, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar). Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
