Construction Project Manager Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction management, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement? Are you ready to lead the delivery of new and enhanced bus depots across Australia? Kinetic is seeking a senior professional to manage complex projects, balance tight budgets, and drive success across our network. This role is critical to ensuring our depots meet all operational and strategic objectives. Role Overview: As the Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the development of state-of-the-art bus depots, working within stringent time and budget constraints. Your role will involve managing internal and external stakeholders, coordinating multiple projects, developing budgets and controlling variations, program management including risk mitigation, and providing detailed and regular updates to keep everyone aligned and informed. Your established network will ensure Kinetic remains at the forefront of new technologies and ways of working, delivering depots which are functional and future ready. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Oversee the activities of external project managers, ensuring effective integration and critical interface between various programs. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between Kinetic and external stakeholders, addressing queries, fulfilling contract requirements, and providing regular progress reports. Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the Kinetic Executive Team to manage program performance, track variances, and mitigate risks. Reporting: Provide detailed updates to the Kinetic Steering Committee on project and budget status, seeking approvals for any necessary changes. Operational Alignment: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure depot projects meet operational needs and requirements. Proposal Contributions: Assist in the preparation of proposals and tenders for construction-related projects and activities. Compliance: Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in adherence to ‘The Kinetic Way’ standards for quality, risk, environment, and safety. Key Stakeholders: External: Suppliers & Contractors, Contracted Project Managers, Department of Transport and Planning, State Government Departments, Local Councils. Internal: Senior Leadership Team, Functional Managers, Facilities Department, Operational and Workshop Team Members. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: 10 years of proven experience in construction project management, with a history of delivering projects successfully on time and within budget. Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations in Australia. Excellent planning, organising, and prioritising skills. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project. Negotiation & Reporting: Proven track record in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal reporting skills. Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the Melbourne metropolitan area. Why Join Us?
