Skilled cook required We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the growing kitchen team for Hogs Breath Cafe, Airlie Beach. The birthplace of Hog’s Breath Cafe in 1989, Airlie Beach has the old school attitude vibe that makes this brand what it is. Current franchisee Romesh started in this Airlie Beach steakhouse in 2019, after experiencing the family-friendly feeling. “It’s all about steak, family, kids – good vibes Applicants must have strong experience in busy kitchens, be capable with fast paced, high volume service, take pride in food presentation and be effective in a busy team environment. Key Requirements are: Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Manage and train junior kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance when required Cook food items per menu and order supplies to stock inventory appropriately Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers Hard working and organized, team player with positive attitude Ability to manage your own sections and deliver a consistently high standard of food throughout service Take pride in food presentation, always ensuring top quality Good communication skills (verbal and written) Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun. Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week.
