Seeking an experienced Sales Director with a solid event industry network, to lead the sales and accounts teams of a major event production supplier Our client is an industry leading supplier in Event Production equipment and services- they are looking for an experienced Head of Sales for their Melbourne Production Account Team. This role will provide strategic leadership to a team of client-facing account managers and sales professionals in order to meet and exceed sales targets. The role: Develop, manage and achieve department's budgeted sales and net profit targets Provide strategic and creative direction for the Production team in consultation with General Manager Develop and implement sales strategies with a specialised focus on major events and AVL/staging equipment Leverage your production expertise to understand client requirements and offer informed solutions, attending all large jobs to ensure quality of delivery Drive new business, establish and maintain client relationships and oversee all accounts Maintain strong internal relationships to all stakeholders in the business, including transport and operations Mentor, train, and manage staff in their achievement of sales targets Budgetary analysis and reconciliation month on month Candidate profile: Experience in the AV and Event Production Services, ideally with a specialised focus on skills including: lighting, AV, staging and major events Ability to manage key client accounts, devise and execute successful sales strategies Consistently successful sales history in hitting targets and KPIs Proven experience in team leadership and management within event production or related technical domains Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
