Continued growth over the past 12 months has resulted in an opportunity for a graduate engineer to join our hardworking and friendly team. The Role: Answering to the General Manager and with a primary focus on Safety, your duties will include coordinating day-to-day job activities, project reporting, estimating, quality assurance/control, procuring materials, and contract administration. The role will be based between the head office in Lara and various sites around Geelong. To be successful in the position you must have the following: · Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field · Solid Windows-based operating system knowledge and skills. · Microsoft Project or Primavera experience would be beneficial. · Solid communication, telephone & organizational skills. · Minimum 2 years relevant work experience. · Ability to work within a team environment. · Analytical and observation skills. · Ability to problem solve. · An interest in developing both technical and project management skills. · Current Victorian Driver’s License Responsibilities: · Create designs that utilize a variety of materials · Inspect project sites to ensure they meet relevant codes and are progressing properly · Forecast design and construction time frames · Analyse photographs, drawings, and maps to inform the direction of projects as well as the overall budget constraints · Perform and adjust quantity calculations for practical and budgetary purposes · Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity and design practicality · Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs · Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries · Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations · Managing budgets and project resources · Resolving design and development problems If you are interested in this job, please click the ‘apply’ button.
