Whilst previous tractor experience is preferred, Costa encourages motivated and physically fit self-starters to join an experienced farm team located at either Colignan or Nangiloc Farms (both located 35 min drive from Mildura). Employment is on an initial casual basis with Full Time employment confirmed for the right person. Who we’re looking for: Tractor Driver/Spray Operator roles are primarily responsible for table grape and citrus crop spraying from September to March including night sprays between November to the end of February. To be successful, you must guarantee availability to work a flexible 6 day roster including nights shifts or weekend work, if required. What you’ll be doing: Reporting to the relevant Farm Manager, the Tractor Driver/Spray Operator will perform continuous tractor and spray operations in a reliable and safe manner. Other responsibilities: Operating tractor sprayer to perform herbicide and fungicide duties. Other tractor work including slashing, mulching, skirting and citrus fertiliser duties. Mixing and handling chemicals. Basic service and maintenance of farm equipment. General farm labour as required. What you'll bring to the role: Must have AusChem Certificate or be willing to obtain one (Company funded). Forklift License preferred. Experience operating machinery. Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Own reliable transport and current Driver’s License is essential. We care for our people: People are the heart of Costa.
