About the role In this dynamic field based role, you will focus on prospecting new customers and developing market segments for our compressed air solutions. Your territory covers a large section of the beautiful SA region and you have plenty of scope to make the role your own. On a typical day, you will engage with new and existing customers in the industrial and mining sector, develop bespoke technical solutions and manage our response to service tenders. You will be working with customers at all levels, so it's important you are as confident on the shop floor as you are presenting to purchasing committees and senior management. Your responsiblities will include: Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made Maintaining a valuable network of contacts across business areas Actively seeking to increase the products and services offered to existing key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling You will enjoy being independent, whilst also being part of a well resourced team, with sales support to help you focus on what you do best. Whilst you do not need expertise in air compression specifically, it's important that you can demonstrate experience in technical sales and have an understanding of the complexities customers face when investing in capital equipment. To be successful, you'll bring: 3 years of sales experience in the mining/industrial sector Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly Well refined negotiating and influencing skills Demonstrated ability to forecast, grow and deliver on revenue targets Computer literacy: experience with SAP or a CRM system such as Dynamics would be of benefit but is not essential.
