The Opportunity We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join us in our Infrastructure Development team in Melbourne, Victoria or Brisbane, Queensland on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Team Lead – E&I Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, equipment package delivery, construction support, and engineering assistance during commissioning, of electrical and instrumentation systems in APA's Growth Projects. The role is to ensure these systems are safe, fit-for-purpose, operable, maintainable, sustainable, and compliant with company and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for various gas transmission projects (i.e. metering stations and compressor stations). Preparation of engineering design documentation for procurement and construction. Preparation of tender documentation and conducting Technical Bid Evaluations. Undertaking support design risk assessment and safety studies, along with Factory Acceptance Testing of E&I equipment. Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to execute engineering design, system integration, equipment delivery, and installation. Your background Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent. Relevant experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission, gas processing, LNG, chemical process power generation, utilities or associated industries. Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements, Australian and international codes and standards. Ability to travel to site when required. Detail-oriented with a keen interest in developing technical knowledge and applying critical problem solving techniques.
