Our Remedial Engineering team is seeking a Senior Engineer who is seeking to take their next career step in ACOR’s industry leading Remedial Engineering, Building Diagnostics & Facades Team. In this role, you will play an integral part in the team and overseeing a range of varied and interesting projects. As a Senior Remedial Engineer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The individual will demonstrate relevant technical and commercial competencies to manage projects and stakeholder relationships. The position will require leadership capability, and ability to deliver complex strategic projects. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direction in the pursuit of technical excellence in work produced by ACOR Consultants. Set and maintain technical standards for the discipline by innovation and application of ‘state of the art’ technology, creating support material such as check lists, procedures, and other appropriate documents. Undertake and oversee design, field work, report and advisory work undertaken, ensuring that standards are maintained for technical performance and constructability. Work with clients to balance design, deliver reports and advisory work requirements to budget and schedules. Provide written proposals to clients that satisfy their requirements, preparing work plans including resource requirements needed. Collect necessary information to do perform the work, certify designs, and commission sub-consultants and surveyors. Perform preliminary design and document discussions with clients/councils. Monitor and document project progress to client, the calling of tenders, negotiations, and supervision of construction. Skills & Experience: 5 years Remedial Engineering experience. High level report writing and communication skills. Strong project management skills with a focus on project delivery. Sound diagnostic and remedial assessment skills. Understanding of Standards and Legislation within the Building Sector (i.e., BCA). Working at heights training, rope access qualifications, etc highly regarded Ability to multi-task projects. Strong commercial and business sense, client relationships and communication skills. High motivation, responsibility, sound judgement and customer focus. Desire to be involved in documenting a diverse range of projects. Ability to perform in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands.
