As a Fire Protection Designer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The ideal candidate would have exposure to building services industry with experience in Fire Protection Services systems design, both willing to and capable of learning efficient methods of producing elegant design solutions to satisfy ever growing Clients’ expectations. You will be working on a large range of projects, helping experienced Fire Protection Engineers to produce design documentation packages (drawings, model, schematics, typical details, etc.), learning better industry practices and gaining valuable experience in this specialised field of consulting services. Duties & Responsibilities Completing wet and dry Fire Services design packages including documentation or drawings and specifications for a range of projects under direction from a senior engineer Coordinating and carrying out project specific Revit drafting/modelling services Assisting in developing modelling operations and standards as required, ensuring efficient design and implementation of projects utilising the Revit platform Document control management Liaising with clients, architects, builders and contractors Attending meetings Skills & Experience At least Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry Demonstrated analytical skills and desire to enhance them Demonstrated capability of working within the building services consultancy or within trade contractor’s environment, keeping multiple balls up in the air simultaneously Demonstrated genuine interest in learning Fire Protection Services design Demonstrated genuine interest in learning Revit (or any other suitable 3D modelling package in the future) Exposure to Fire Protection Services design would be an advantage Knowledge and proficiency in REVIT MEP would be an advantage. Holding an Engineering Degree is a distinct advantage You will be provided with strong support and mentoring from Fire Protection Engineers, as well as from our BIM Team. You will also be given the opportunity to further improve your skills and knowledge with learning and development courses external to our business.
