We are seeking applications for the position of Registrar, Medical Administration. This position is a Registrar in Medical Administration training in association with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA). It is part of rotational training program involving Hospitals South, and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer to prepare candidates for the Specialist Fellowship examination. The Medical Administration Registrar will assist the Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) in the management, co-ordination, administration and evaluation of organisational-wide aspects of medical services and clinical governance within the relevant region of Tasmania. Salary $131,000 - $183,500 per annum Classification Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) Award Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award Period of Employment Fixed term full-time day work working 76 hours per fortnight, plus 10 paid training hours pro rata per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible initially until 3 February 2025 with possibility of 18 months training opportunity negotiable. Location Royal Hobart Hospital and/or Department of Health offices in Hobart Duties The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management assigned as a member of the Office of the EDMS of the allocated site/facility. Provide after-hours emergency cover as determined by the relevant work unit and commensurate with seniority.
