An exciting opportunity exists for dynamic Process Technician/Engineer to join our engineering team based at Yatala. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for implementing new designs and changes for the earthmoving industry, including machines and attachments. Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, you will assist implementing product from the design stage all the way through to manufacture. Key responsibilities will include: Reviewing manufacturing drawings for products being released to production. Building prototypes and performing field tests. Works closely with engineering team in the development and implementation of a design. Inspects designs and finished products for compliance with job specifications. Assists in the costing and sourcing of materials Perform tasks within the ERP system included updating data & BOM’s, setup, maintain and facilitate changes to items Prepares technical drawings, plans, and designs for engineering work. Work closely with Production on process selection and optimisation Generating programs for laser cutting, tube cutting, flight press and /or press brake machines. Experience in the following areas would be advantageous: Trade qualified (Cert III) fitter/ diesel mechanic/ boilermaker/ machinist or relevant experience Experience with ERP/MRP systems & proficiency with MS office programs. Strong skills with software including Autodesk, Inventor, Vault, 3D modelling and Bysoft software. Experience in Machining/Welding an advantage A good understanding of hydraulics/electrical systems. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Effective planning and organisational skills. Accuracy and ability to meet deadlines essential. Whilst not essential a good understanding of skid steer machines, excavators, and attachments is desirable.
