Seeking candidates with experience in government grants administration and procurement processes. Our client is seeking to fill an APS 5 Project Officer/Grants Admin Officer for 12 months on a Non ongoing basis. Full time with hybrid working arrangements. Location Sydney CBD or Canberra In an APS5 Project Officer role you will work as part of project teams. You will be involved in projects related to cancer control, cancer research, clinical trials, data evaluation and/or publication of cancer-related information. Project Officers may also be involved in policy development & public reporting activities. As part of the Project Officer role, accountabilities may include: Providing support for project coordination, procurement and budget management Undertaking contract management, including monitoring and reviewing deliverables provided by external groups/organisations Assisting in monitoring and evaluating evidence to support the development of best practice guidelines Supporting health communication initiatives, including cancer awareness campaigns Contributing to the preparation of high-quality plans, reports and briefing materials Coordinating project deliverables in line with organisational policies and processes Organising meetings and undertaking secretariat duties Liaising with internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to to demonstrate the following APS capabilities: Supports strategic thinking - Understands, supports and promotes the strategic direction of the Team in alignment with Branch and Agency objectives. Communicates with influence - Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner, and selects the most appropriate medium for conveying information Qualifications and other requirements To be considered for ongoing or non-ongoing employment, candidates must be Australian Citizens . The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks and to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance (minimum requirement depending on role).
