Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane. PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors. We manage our clients’ entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies. Join our team and become part of a community that strives for positive change– providing the best solutions for our clients’ toughest challenges As the successful candidate, you will: Assist the Lead Piping Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule Scope piping and valving requirements for the project Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for piping components Provide input to 3D models and 2D drawings (incl. P&ID’s and Isometrics) Perform calculations for pipe selection and pipe stress analysis You bring to the role: BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering Registration as a professional engineer (preferred) Six years’ engineering experience in mining and metals projects Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of industry standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the piping engineering discipline Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian / New Zealand citizen, hold permanent residency status, or alternatively, a Visa that entitles you to work in Australia.
