We are looking for a suitably qualified Senior Payroll Administrator to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring that Council’s payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner and that payroll, end of month and end of financial year duties are completed within the required timeframes. The successful applicant will have: Extensive payroll experience, 5 years, including award interpretation, taxation and superannuation law, coupled with experience in preparing termination and special pays. Knowledge of laws and practices relating to superannuation, income tax, payroll tax and other associated matters. Team leadership experience with managing, mentoring and training. Qualifications required: Associate Degree or significant progress towards the completion of and, as a minimum, a relevant Advanced Certificate is required. Position Hours: Part-time or Full-time (negotiable), min. 66.67, max. 75 hours per fortnight.
