Teaching in a supportive and collegial environment, the Visual Arts teacher will work in a small team of Art teachers to provide positive learning experiences for students. Responsibilities: Teach Year 7-9 Visual Arts, fostering creativity and artistic expression in students Lead the Year 9 Digital Media and Photography elective, guiding students in the exploration of digital tools and photographic techniques Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration Assess and provide feedback on student work, supporting their artistic and academic growth Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the Visual Arts curriculum Participate in school events, exhibitions, and other activities that promote the Visual Arts program Skills/Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Demonstrated experience in teaching Visual Arts at the secondary level, with a focus on Years 7-9 Proficiency in digital media and photography, with the ability to teach these subjects effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inspiring students through the arts Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the school's vibrant arts culture If you are a passionate Visual Arts teacher with a flair for digital media and photography, and you’re ready to inspire the next generation of artists, APPLY NOW to join a school that values creativity, innovation, and excellence.
