Job Description About the Role Your key responsibilities will include: Partnering closely with the tender team to develop and refine project proposals Provide technical expertise to ensure accurate and competitive bids Ensuring GEC is prepared for work transition from tender to project phases, allowing for smooth handover from the tender team to the project team Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and resource requirements Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with the budget Experience in construction of HV Distribution Networks inc. buried HV/LV cable and surface electrical equipment RMU, Transformer etc. Experience with Hazardous Area Compliance and Verification Experience in developing electrical test plans and management of test records Experience with management of project completion and handover activities Implement cost-saving measures where possible without compromising on quality Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution Define the scope of works and ensure all tasks are clearly outlined Scheduling QA schedules making sure the required standards are met Serve as the primary contact for subcontractors Overseeing the performance of subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency, addressing any performance issues as required Perform Material Take-Offs (MTO) to accurately determine the quantities of materials required Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid project delays Working knowledge of applicable standards and codes of practice inc. AS 3000 and AS 60079 Act as an in-house technical lead by providing guidance and support to the tender and project team, resolving any issues that arise during the project Ad hoc duties in accordance with your skills, training, and experience that may be assigned to you in your role Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you must hold the following traits, skills, and qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Must have eligible Australian working rights Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry Comprehensive understanding of construction processes and practices Hands-on experience working with heavy vehicle machinery on construction sites Ability to navigate and manage site-specific challenges Experience working on civil pipeline projects or multidisciplinary construction projects Ability to coordinate and integrate work across various disciplines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confidence in dealing with people, including written and verbal communication Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and standards Prior experience in Quality Assurance and Control within construction projects Proven ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively Global Benefits Being part of the Global team gives you access to a range of different benefits.
