About the role – Fulltime max term contract until April 2026 The Payroll & Finance Administrator’s role works across both Payroll & Finance functions. In payroll, this position reports to the Manager, Payroll to assist in the processing of all fortnightly payrolls and all payroll related matters, to maintain accuracy and integrity of payroll system data, and to assist staff and management with payroll related queries. The Payroll & Finance Administrator provides support to the Manager, Payroll to ensure compliance across all payroll operations. In Finance, this position reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Services (SMFS) and will provide support to the finance team across various tasks as required, in areas such as supporting Business Finance Partners (Pathways), Senior Accountant (reconciliations) and the Accounts Team (accounts payable and banking entries). This role will also include working on various projects relating to the Payroll & Finance functions, as directed by the SMFS. Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Perform fortnightly pay runs in accordance with procedure on an accurate and timely basis. Interpret and apply the relevant awards, enterprise agreement and legislation as it relates to Payroll and Baptist Care SA. Complete payroll tasks involving employee leave, PAYG, superannuation, termination calculations and salary packaging reconciliations. Support general finance duties within the Finance Team as required. These duties include providing cover for finance staff on leave in relation to matters such as accounts payable oversight, reconciliations, and other accounting support as directed by the Senior Manager Financial Services. You will also have the following skills and experience: Qualifications at Diploma level will be viewed favourably (but are not essential) Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll functions Experience processing medium to large payroll from beginning to end. Experience working in organisation with multiple awards and enterprise agreements.
