The Academic Administration Officer will provide exceptional service quality, customer-focused academic support and course administration to senior academic staff across all aspects of the student lifecycle with reference to academic administration and project delivery . This role will support the academic governance requirements across academic policy, course accreditation and renewal, transition and teach out, course build, timetabling, academic progression and exam committees, data management reporting requirements and core academic administration and project delivery functions. This role involves collaborating with academic leaders, faculty members and other stakeholders to ensure academic quality best practices are implemented and monitored that promote student success and academic achievement . Key stakeholder engagement (both internally and externally) and a solution-based mindset is critical to the success of this role. Day-to-day accountabilities: Provide outstanding faculty-wide customer service to senior academic leadership staff across all TUA faculties. Provide course and subject information to the academic and professional teams as required. Provide high-quality, accurate and timely processing of all academic services administration processes, complying with external regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. These processes include course accreditation and review, teach-out and transition, special considerations, and academic integrity Support academic staff through the results entry period and Examination Committees, including administering academic progression decisions and student interventions. Provide accurate information for integrated campus staff regarding academic policies and procedures, ensuring adherence with Group-wide approaches. Provide secretariat support and information to the Department and any faculty academic governance meetings, including Course Advisory Committees, Learning and Teaching Committees, Academic Progression, and Examination Committees. Keep course and subject data accurate and up to date in the Student Information System, ensuring that approved changes are reflected in the System. This fixed term full time position until end of February 2025, can be located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide . Who you are The specific experience to perform in the role, mostly industry experience : Minimum 2 years' experience within the HE or VET sector is desirable An understanding of ASQA and TEQSA regulatory compliance requirements as they apply to Academic Administration and associated functions Strong Communication, problem-solving and reporting skills Demonstrable high-level computer and software skills, particularly in word processing, spread sheets and using enterprise-wide records management systems Project management skills across that support the effective implementation of concurrent projects within an agile environment. Attention to detail and the ability to undertake high volumes of administrative processing efficiently and with a high level of accuracy. Why join us?
