About the Role- Customer Service & Export Operations This Customer Service & Export Operations you will be supporting the State Manager and company personnel in maintaining these varied relationships. Responsible for booking cargo with shipping lines and consolidators. Manage all routings and keep track of bookings Keeping customers advised of their freight / order movements. Securing pre alerts and passing on shipping documents as needed to handle import shipments to operations team. Answering freight enquiries. Discussing processes and systems to internal and external customers to ensure high degree of support and understanding of company service. Explaining charges as they relate to company services. Liaising with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Consolidation Companies, Overseas Agents & New/Existing Customers etc. as needed. Act as first point of contact in the office for new customers. Ensure the process of shipments from Sales to Operations is seamless, both for customers & operations staff. Creating bookings & coordinating cartage Arranging consolidation of FCL/ FAK/ FCX/ LCL and break-bulk shipments Develop & maintain relationships with customers & vendors Quoting both local customers & overseas agents on all Export inquiries. Processing creditor payments and passing over to central accounts. The successful applicant should demonstrate; Customer Service & Export Operations experience Demonstrated experience in freight forwarding operations is essential Proficiency in handling shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations. Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs tariffs, and import/export compliance practices. Export operations experience would be highly advantageous Strong relationship building experience with excellent communication skills, both written & verbal Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment High level attention to detail & problem-solving skills Proven ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
