About the role Working directly with, supporting and reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Assistant Director of Sales supports to drive both Adelaide sister properties sales teams, managing sales activities, developing to execute mid- and long-term strategic plans to achieve hotel targets, forming new and maintaining existing local and interstate relationships, this role seeks a professional who can assist with the continuous development of the sales team. The professional we seek must have local knowledge, coupled with exceptional communication skills, the incumbent will take leadership responsibilities in the absence of our Area Director of Sales and Marketing, therefore this is an exciting next step in your career and future professional development. Core requirements of your role The ability to maximise the use of systems and maintain accuracy of all departmental data Maintain up to date knowledge of uses/applications of all sales and revenue management systems Ensure Stamford Hotels and Resorts Brand Service standards are consistently met and practiced by all team members Represent our hotels in key markets for the company Build and maintain relationships with existing clients Drive the team to increase corporate contracted business both local and global Identify and create new relationships for all our hotels from the corporate, Travel Trade & MICE segments Research and analyse different programs for all hotels to identify new leads and accounts from all markets Have a complete understanding of the hotels monthly forecast and the come up with continuous initiatives in order to achieve it in all key segments Management of the strategies relating to the sourcing, identifying and development of new business Accompanying the ADOSM, plan/manage familiarisation trips to nurture new business and highlight the unique features of our Hotels Lead and charge training, development and on the job coaching of the Sales Team. This also includes succession planning and future talent banking Ensure that the hotel’s brand message and story are consistent and effectively communicated across all marketing channels to lift revenue About you We seek a person with strong commercial acumen, coupled with experience in drafting and managing budgets/revenue proposals whilst analysing and forecasting results/market segments. The successful candidate should have 3 years’ experience as a senior Sales professional in a 5-star hotel and hold Vocational education in Hotel Management, Sales and Marketing or similar.
