Our people are passionate, live and breathe the values of love, decency and kindness every day, and have a whole lot of fun doing it Position Purpose We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing organisation to help with maintaining and building data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from our business systems. This will include liaising with the provider of these systems, ensuring their APIs are functioning and creating exception reports to ensure data integrity. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining a cloud database, gathering and interpreting data, analysing results, and developing insightful reports and dashboards to assist the business with driving performance, innovation and growth and ultimately improving the resident experience at our villages. The Date Engineer will work with all facets of the business, including the Executive Leadership Team, and therefore be able to adjust their style and level of technical communication to suit their audience. This is a hybrid role based in the Brisbane CBD with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week. Position Accountabilities • Maintain existing data pipelines and develop new ones • Maintain cloud data storage • Collect detailed requirements for reports, dashboards, and other data analysis products from business stakeholders • Develop new and maintain existing Power BI data insights and solutions • Assist with data migration for a digital transformation project • Be an ambassador for data driven strategic decision making across the business • Proactively share learnings, experience and skill to further the capability and productivity of the team Qualifications and Experience • Degree in IT or equivalent experience Professional Experience • Experience in creating and maintaining data visualisations including reports, dashboards and KPIs • Experience calling APIs including Rest, Soap & GraphQL • Experience writing SQL queries • Experience in navigating relational data models and joining data from disparate sources • Experience in reading and writing Python • Experience using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse or Snowflake highly regarded • Salesforce experience highly regarded Skills and Attributes • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to communicate to a non-technical audience • Ability to create, rich and insightful data visualisations based on business requirements • High attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Essential Conditions Federal Police Clearance must be attained and declaration made of any future charges or convictions that could potentially affect your role within LDK.
