The Centre for Restoration (CFR) is responsible for supporting survivors of historic child abuse through The Salvation Army Redress process . It is our aim to help survivors of abuse move forward in their journey of healing and restoration. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and experienced Administration Assistant to join our close-knit team in Blackburn . This role enables you to provide high quality administration support to the CFR team, including answering phone calls from survivors and forwarding details onto the relevant team member. The opportunity is permanent , part-time (3 days a week) however this is a hybrid position requiring some office and the ability to work remotely. Key responsibilities: Answering all phone calls to the CFR team in a trauma-informed manner. Monitoring the CFR Inbox continuously and actioning as appropriate. Accessing Department of Social Security secure emails pertaining to TSA Redress matters. Maintaining spreadsheets for all National Redress Scheme matters pertaining to TSA. Creating and updating client files in the CFR secure database. Uploading of highly sensitive and confidential information to client files. Preparing CFR invoices, finance memos and reimbursements for approval by HOD and payment by Finance Dept. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have elevated emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders with empathy and discretion. The ability to maintain highest levels of confidentiality and to deal with sensitive and traumatic content of client files is essential. Key capabilities: Demonstrated experience in administrative roles within healthcare, community services, or non-profit sectors. High attention to detail and sound time management skills.
