Job Description We are seeking to appoint a Sales Manager - MICE to bring essential value to our experienced and high-performing team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This newly established position, based on-site in the picturesque Hunter Valley, will be pivotal in driving the growth of MICE business through both new and existing partnerships at our resort. You will also oversee the seamless execution of events from their inception to completion. As the Sales Manager - MICE, you will represent our resort with expertise in the hospitality industry to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our clients. Additionally, this role will involve ensuring that all current and prospective clients are well-informed about the Minor Hotel Group portfolio to address future business needs. Key Responsibilities Include: Enhance engagement with existing MICE partners Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new clients and maximise revenue from conferences, meetings, and events Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to boost account production for MICE at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort Represent Minor Hotels at local and regional trade events to elevate brand awareness Stay informed about market rates for serviced apartments, including local competitor rates Keep key stakeholders updated on significant sales developments Liaise with vendors on event related matters, acting as the primary point of contact Ensure Hotel Manager is informed of any guest complaints or positive feedback Assist in resolving operational challenges to uphold client satisfaction and ensure successful events Report significant issues to the General Manager for support and resolution Support the development, implementation, and promotion of market-specific initiatives
