The Opportunity: This is a career-forming opportunity to lead and manage the civil engineering design process on major infrastructure projects that include road and rail. As part of the Project Leadership team and Civil Engineering capability community, you will: Provide leadership to the design team Be responsible for the successful delivery of design packages via effective technical leadership and mentorship of the design team. Communicate regularly with clients regarding design related issues Establish the design interfaces and facilitate smooth exchange of information between disciplines in accordance with program dates Work with the discipline leaders to explore design optimisation and value engineering opportunities. Review deliverables and work packages to confirm they are coordinated and consistently of a high quality Working with the project manager, implement and coordinate the design review and verification process with the discipline leaders. Contribute to risk review meetings, populate risk registers, and communicate design risks to the relevant parties. Enjoys working with people and in a team Comfortable liaising with and coordinating design teams and stakeholders towards successful outcomes.
