Sales Development Manager - South Australia We are seeking a strategic minded Sales Development Manager to join our team in Adelaide. This role is responsible for driving new business and maintaining existing customer relationships within the South Australian market. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with our sales team. Key Responsibilities: Identify opportunities and customers to drive new business Effectively maintain a share of wallet pipeline with existing customers Identify strategic and key business opportunities within the market and identify new business opportunities. Implement sales processes and management cycle for the specified territory or portfolio - new and existing customers - includes engaging with key stakeholders (policy makers, decision makers, and influencers as well as relevant customer's industry influencers) Continuously network with key supplier outlets (e.g., developers, construction companies, major infrastructure, and industry bodies) Collaboratively work with and guide the Territory Sales team members within the region with regards to respective customers and opportunities Maintain an involvement with industry bodies - monitoring industry development and providing information to prospective and existing customers on industry and market trends Achieve territory and/or portfolio targets through the implementation of specific customer, band, segment, and product strategies Ensure within each new deal escalation points, surcharges, business rules are clearly explained to set teammates up for future success About you: Excellent communication skills with people at all levels internally and externally Strong negotiation, influencing, and commercial skills, including contract negotiations Effectively able to construct and deliver a deal with a cross-section of different customers through a solid presence and effective presentation skills Strong computer literacy Understand complex selling, call cycles, sales processes, management cycles & sales methodology Good critical thinking skills to synthesize competing insights and data Agile to identify changing direction of market, trends, commercial changes, and pivot to adjusting market strategy to support overall regional goal Possesses strong strategic, commercial, and entrepreneurial thinking skills Effective self-management skills Performance bias with a competitive nature & sense of urgency, but not at the expense of the team or individuals Personable, inclusive, and can demonstrate individual leadership Hanson Australia is an equal opportunity employer, and we employ people from all walks of life.
