Global communications technology solutions provider is seeking a Field Engineer to join their multi-disciplined projects team. Global communications technology solutions provider has a requirement for a Field Engineer to join their System Intergration division. The Field Engineering team is part of System Integration and a multi-disciplined projects team, responsible for guiding the technical implementation of government and commercial communications system solutions which deliver complex mission critical voice and data systems. The Field Engineer's duties and responsibilities will include: Manage and/or perform implementation of communication system solutions and services which satisfy the requirements of the customer, end user and operator Provides technical support for Solution Staging, as required Lead or participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) while coordinating the technical aspects of the acceptance testing. Responsible for the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of MSI and 3rd party solutions (with support from supplier/vendor) Responsible for identifying, investigating and troubleshooting of technical issues during project implementation Responsible for on-site Acceptance Tests, while coordinating the technical aspects of the acceptance testing. Update of technical documentation and technical change management Provide technical support during all project phases through to handover to Support organisation Communications - Attend customer meetings, status updates, provide project reporting. Provide on-site or remote support to the customers and partners Responsible for self-development through an agreed training plan, experience and knowledge transfer. Leading the field deployment and day-to-day activities: Deploying, Configuring, commissioning, Testing and troubleshooting systems and solutions. Knowledge transfer from the design team to the implementation team and customer. Coordinate the interface between design and implementation. Identifies and mitigates technical risks; develops and implements risk mitigation plans and recommends corrective actions. Implementation team focal point for issues raised during deployment, and responsibility for tracking through to resolution. Interface, communicate, and coordinate the customer, partner, sub-contractor on project deployment and best practices where required. Conducts technical implementation assessments directly with end users and project team. Acts as the primary technical interface to ensure that the contract deliverables are fully understood and actioned. Work in conjunction with senior management to ensure technical resources required to support the projects are recruited, retained, properly motivated with clearly defined goals, have the correct skills and are assigned to the appropriate tasks and duties. Essential Skills and Experience Experience in Radio (LMR). P25 Standards DMR Standards Experience with RF Combining & RD Antennas RF Cabling Networking – Routers & Switches (troubleshoot, cable, install & program) Install devices – Routers, Switches, Radios & Servers (Windows/Linux) Driving license is essential Interviews next week.
