Reporting to the Head of Science, you will be responsible for working with a diverse and passionate academic team and teach across VCE Biology and a range of Science related subjects in General Science. Our Science Faculty allows our students to develop their science inquiry skills through working independently and collaboratively in a range of science disciplines including Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Biology and Earth & Space Science as well as involvement in a range of competitions. With a strong background in VCE Biology and the ability to teach Years 7-10, you will have a student-centred approach to the delivery of curriculum and classroom management, and you will challenge and support students both pastorally and academically. Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content, be able to use technology to support your teaching and understand the individual learning needs of students and develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement. Qualifications and Requirements Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). A strong background in teaching VE Biology, and General Science. Competent in teaching science inquiry skills and use data to inform your pedagogies. Able to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
