Join a top-tier Australian law firm Permanent, full-time opportunity based in Melbourne Provide direct and high-level support to the Partner and their team within our Environment & Sustainable Development (ESD) Practice An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced and senior administrator to work with a dynamic and innovative team. You will provide pivotal support at a high level, directly supporting the ESD Practice Partner and wider team. The role The ESD Practice is seeking an accomplished and experienced Practice Administrator based in Melbourne on a full-time basis. As an integral part of the team, this role involves providing remote and in-person support to the Partner and their team of nine lawyers. As an experienced legal support professional, you will manage the administrative responsibilities of the Partner and their team and utilise your expertise in billing processes to ensure seamless support to the practice, within a supporting and collegiate environment. Key responsibilities Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to a Partner of our ESD Practice, and their team Diary management including organising client meetings and facilitating travel arrangements Assist with the preparation and processing of pre-bills and accounts on a monthly basis, and client reporting requirements File management and handling including opening and closing matters Undertaking conflict searches on firm data base and preparing conflict emails Attending to accounts enquiries from barrister clerks and third party experts with a focus on professionalism and efficiency Manage general accounts, reporting, monthly billing, and expenses Administer quality and risk responsibilities for the ESD team, ensuring compliance at the highest level Team player, willing to step in and assist and take initiative to assist in the smooth operation of the practice Skills & Experience To excel in this high-level role, you need: Proven and distinguished experience in a legal administrative, secretarial role Experience in billing processing using Aderant Expert is a requirement of this role A flexible approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound success The ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situations Advanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with meticulous attention to detail This position represents a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to elevate their career in a challenging, rewarding, collegiate and supportive environment.
