The opportunity now exists for a professional and driven Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join our QLD team. This role will be responsible for contributing to the company’s strategic and operational targets by managing and providing quality leadership to the Warehouse and Logistics department. You will have previous management experience in a similar role. The role requires a hands-on person who is self-motivated, has strong leadership and well-developed communication skills and who is exceptional with organising and planning. Major Responsibilities To plan, manage and evaluate the warehouse/logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistic providers and transportation companies Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities relating to the warehouse and staffing requirements Manages Inventory, ensuring accurate stocking levels of materials, parts and products. Optimising logistics processes, including quality assurance, storage/space management, inventory, maintaining a safe and organised environments Communicate and negotiate with key suppliers and vendors Lead continuous improvement activities, focusing on cost sustainability, risk mitigation and efficiency improvement Negotiates terms and conditions with Freight/transport companies to achieve overall reductions and/or efficiency in delivery services Monthly reporting against department KPI’s in line with business requirements Works closely with Health and Safety to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) Essential Requirements Tertiary qualification in logistics/material management or related fields Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role within the manufacturing sector Highly proficient in all levels of the warehouse and logistics processes (e.g.: inventory, planning, warehouse management and transport) Excellent knowledge of large ERP systems (Infor M3 advantageous) Thorough understanding of health and safety and procedural best practices Strong leadership and motivational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Strong analytical, planning and negotiation skills Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting Company Opportunities for career progression and additional training Free EAP service for staff and their families Fitness App Exclusive offers for well-known/leading brands and company’s Wellbeing toolkits Assessments and support programs covering Financial, Mental, Physical and Social Wellbeing Seasonal vaccinations Subsidised on site fitness sessions Staff events such as company BBQs, Christmas Parties etc. If you are a team player who is has the ability to build and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders and is looking to be part of an innovative organisation who values its people and supports career progression, then apply now.
