Permanent role | Based in North rocks|On site parking Strong understanding of PBX systems, SD-WAN technologies, VOIP and Network protocols Exciting career progression opportunities Our client is seeking a highly motivated Unified Communication Support Engineer who has a strong understanding of VoIP and UC technologies and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. The UC Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting the internal UC PBX systems across 500 sites. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support across core Grandstream UCM6300 ecosystem. Troubleshoot and resolve tickets where an understanding of the SIP protocol, platform architecture, NBN, Network, and carriers is required. Install, configure, and maintain IP PBX systems. Provide remote assistance to internal branches. Assist with the Scoping & Implementation of new VoIP projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new VoIP technologies and changes in the field. Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve technical issues. Responsible for creating technical documentation and processes Key Requirements: Strong knowledge with Grandstream ecosystem or similar IP PBX. Eg. 3CX / Asterisk. Strong understanding of networking protocols and architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls). Strong Knowledge of PBX systems, installation, configuration, and management. Knowledge of LINUX. Knowledge of NBN technologies. Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies. Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, and RTCP). Knowledge of security issues and solutions related to VoIP (encryption, authentication, and firewall configuration). Ability to adapt to new technologies and changes in the field.
