Job Description Managing a small team (5FTE) Responsible for all movements in/outbound (Day Shift Mon-Fri) Metals/Building materials Reporting to Branch Manager 50/50 split between managing and working in despatch Alspec are market leaders in the design and distribution of innovative aluminium systems to the architectural, industrial and home improvement markets. Due to continued national growth we are looking to appoint the role of Warehouse Supervisor to the Darwin Branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all materials movement with the branch. Managing a small operations role this role will be responsible for opening the Warehouse, organising work flows for staff whilst working in a hands on capacity as required to ensure smooth operations across the branch. Key duties in the role include: Supervise the day to day activities of the warehouse ensuring excellent customer service, high productivity, scheduling staff and ensuring a safe work environment Maintain the accuracy of stock at all times by promptly investigating any stock discrepancies Organizing and ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes Ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-confirming product Oversee the goods in / out process ensuring goods are handled in a safe and orderly way Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by the Branch Manager Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer Lead, develop and mentor team members Performance manage and document development plans Drive a zero harm safety culture Ideally suiting individuals with a background working in the Aluminium or Steel Industries, those offering experience within the building construction or building supply industry are highly encouraged, however applicants from all logistics and despatch backgrounds with people management experience will be considered.
