Senior In- house commercial property lawyer Melbourne Our client, a privately held Australian company seeks an engaging and confident property lawyer to join the team at its Melbourne Headquarters. The role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave for a senior lawyer. The role reports to the CEO and involves working closely with a nimble and experienced executive team, to help shape the future direction and growth of the business. This is a management position with responsibility for the Legal Counsel and the Leasing Administrator. In this role, you'll be responsible for Primary responsibility includes Efficiently preparing, negotiating, and issuing legal agreements such as Heads of Agreements (HOA), Agreements for Lease (AFL), Leases, and Management Agreements (MA), ensuring they meet business's needs and commercial objectives. Maintain a portfolio of precedent legal documents up to date Manage property issues that arise both before and after construction, and communicating risks clearly and effectively Review and execute commercial and service agreements Provide company secretarial support when needed.
