This Expression of Interest (EOI) is restricted to applications from existing employees within the Department for Education, Children and Young People and Tasmanian State Service fixed-term and permanent employees. This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Duties Provide comprehensive high-level administrative support services in the management of legal administrative processes and contribute to the efficient operation of the Legal Services team with a particular focus on complex information requests from a wide range of stakeholders, civil claims and applications under the National Redress Scheme. The role includes assisting with the management and release of Departmental information under the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 (PIP Act), and other relevant requests and applications including under the Registration to work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 (RWVP Act), from courts and tribunals, Tasmania Police, Child Safety, and the Coroners Court. Period of Appointment ASAP until 16 August 2025 Hours per fortnight 73.5 hours per fortnight Essential Requirements The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment. • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
