Australia's largest Sheetmetal manufacturer are seeking a new Design Engineer to join their team in Bayswater Competitive hours and salary ASAP start Key responsibilities: - Read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications - Measure and mark Sheetmetal according to drawings and templates - Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products - Develop Sheetmetal components from prototyping to production - Conduct regular Research & Development assignments - Develop patterns for Sheetmetal, using computer assisted design and drafting (CAD) software package - Perform engineering calculations to support design work - Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors - Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process - Ensure project timelines are met and are within budget - Oversee the manufacturing process - Program Laser, Brake Press and Turret Machines to cut and fold Sheetmetal - Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications - Adhere to all company policies and standards - Adhere to Safety regulations About you: - Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings - Capable of working well under pressure to meet daily targets - Good organizational skills - Proficient computer skills - Good communication skills - A team player approach - Punctual and reliable If this job sounds like it is for you, APPLY NOW Apply now, or send your most updated resume to ollietranscendgroup.com.au We look forward to hearing from you
