Excited to work in a dynamic, collaborative and fun team, who undertake diverse work (advice, leasing, complex commercial transactions) Temporary opportunity until April 2025 Parramatta location Salary relative to experience and ranges from $108,153.00 to $121,870 super The role We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Officer to work across a diverse portfolio of clients including Place Management NSW, Greater Sydney Parklands Trust, Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation and Sydney Olympic Park Authority. As a Legal Officer your role will encompass: Drafting and negotiating leases and licences across a diverse portfolio of clients Drafting and negotiating event licences for a range of up and coming events Providing advice on novel issues and the legislation applicable to our clients You will be joining a highly collaborative and supportive team with strong stakeholder relationships. We are viewed as trusted advisors in their decision making. Our work is interesting and varied, often incorporating elements of property law, commercial law, administrative law and statutory interpretation. No two days will be the same For more information read the full Role Description: Legal Officer What you will bring to the role Strong research skills and the ability identify key issues and think critically to find strategically focused and evidence-based solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to draft written legal advice that is clear, concise and outcomes focussed Previous experience as a Legal Officer or an experienced Paralegal (Please note you will need to be admitted or qualified for admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW and hold a practising certificate) Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Property Law; or Commercial Law; or Statutory interpretation What is an essential requirement: Admitted or qualified for admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW and hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW Practising Certificate.
