The Role As a Legal Counsel at Constantinople, you’ll provide pragmatic legal advice on innovative technology solutions, new banking products, high value commercial contracts and general corporate matters. You will be joining a growing legal, risk and compliance team, with opportunities to help build new and innovative technology solutions for the banking industry. What You'll Do Advise on new technology products that will power banking products such as term loans, credit cards, payment links and deposit accounts Work collaboratively with product and engineering squads as they run through two-week sprints to rapidly build and add to our product suite Manage a wide variety of commercial deals including negotiating SaaS commercial agreements, partnership agreements and key vendor contracts Help our business scale by working with business stakeholders to develop and improve legal processes, playbooks and templates Partner with other stakeholders such as engineering, strategy and business development to achieve the strategic company goals and key results Work with other team members in the legal, risk and compliance team to foster an exciting, collegiate and collaborative environment Support the expansion of Constantinople’s business including potential international expansion in the future Who You Are 4-8 years post admission experience Legal qualifications – LLB, LLM or Juris Doctor Industry expertise–experience in banking, technology, regtech, fintech and/or financial services is a big plus Based in Sydney but will consider other locations for the right candidate Excited about working with a fast-growing tech company to build innovative technology solutions for the banking industry Willingness to learn, outstanding time management and relationship-building skills, with an ability to understand the larger picture Application process: Inclusion To build technology and products that are used and loved by people and solve real-world problems, we need to build a team with many different perspectives and experiences.
