Process Engineer (Mechanical/Process) Location: Parramatta Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role: An iconic food manufacturing company in Parramatta is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting engineering projects, ensuring processes are stable and reliable from concept through to completion, and adhering to both organizational and Australian standards. The successful candidate will evaluate and improve existing equipment and plant services to enhance capacity, reliability, quality, safety, and hygiene. This role also involves reviewing and modifying processes to accommodate new products, creating detailed engineering drawings, and supporting site stability through effective building maintenance management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain process stability and reliability, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Evaluate and enhance equipment and plant services, addressing capacity and reliability while improving quality, safety, and hygiene. Review and update processes and workflows to integrate new products. Create detailed equipment layouts, piping, instrumentation drawings, and process flow diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software. Respond to building maintenance issues and manage the Facilities Inspections calendar. Collaborate with operators and staff to develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and engineering specifications. What We're Looking For: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, with a specialization in Electrical, Chemical/Process, or Mechanical Engineering highly regarded. Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Strong technical problem-solving abilities, from conceptual challenges to practical implementation. A hands-on problem solver who can implement effective solutions. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial, Process, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidWorks Visualize, or AutoCAD software is highly beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
