As we continue to see the return of our international visitors and our group and leisure markets, we have an opportunity for a proven tourism sales professional to join our team as our Sales Manager - International Sales . As a driven and engaging Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting China, North Asia, Japan and South Korean markets (subject to market experience), and work to grow these markets and identify emerging markets to drive visitation to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary About the Role As our experienced and motivated sales professional, you will be responsible for actively managing current sales agent relationships with the aim to increase revenue and promote our products and experiences and support cross-selling opportunities for our experiences and partners. As a well-connected sales professional, you will also work to secure new business and investigate emerging markets to develop further opportunities for Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and maintain strong relationships across our existing customer base. As a sales professional with in-depth knowledge of inbound markets and tourism trade sales, you will conduct sales activities to build positive relationships and brand loyalty, including site inspections, tradeshows and work through positive contracting & negotiation to secure business. As a confident leader in our diverse and value-driven organisation, you will cultivate strong internal and external stakeholder relationships for the shared goals of delivering on the organisation’s financial goals and our charitable mission. In this role you will also leverage your international and cultural experience to mentor and support our operations team, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation as well as playing an integral role in our team to support guest feedback and delivering vibrant and engaging guests experiences for our group and leisure market. About You To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in sales manager role in tourism or hospitality, with a strong background across inbound markets. Other key skills we are looking for include; Sales experience with proven ability to deliver a broad range of proactive and reactive activities in a customer focused environment and develop sales initiatives that drive visitation. Strong networks across tourism sector and strong relationship management. Proven experience with CRM tools & good knowledge of distribution channels, OTAs, FIT markets and opportunities. Superior relationship management and able to confidently negotiate and network to deliver on sales strategies. Good knowledge of pricing, distribution and yield management and aware of market trends. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required and attend networking, trade shows and other networking events. Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that has native wildlife such as birds and reptiles.
