Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer 3-5 years' PQE Our client, a long standing and successful industry superfund is seeking a lawyer to join the legal team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a leading brand with substantial funds under management and impressive growth trajectory. The fund invests in private and public markets across multiple asset classes domestically and internationally. The role sits in the Trustee division of the legal team and reports to a Managing Legal Counsel. The Team works across the business in connection with legal matters impacting and affecting the business outside of investment work. In particular, the successful candidate will work across superannuation law and APRA prudential requirements; corporations and financial services law; trustee duties; insurance; regulatory change; dispute resolution; project and product delivery; privacy and data security; and merger/growth activity. Key responsibilities providing legal advice / guidance on legislation, regulatory & prudential matters managing external legal counsel. assisting with the management of disputes and regulatory investigations participating in and contributing to initiatives and/or projects developing strong relationships with members of the business implementing business processes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts. leading complex commercial negotiations Disputes lawyers with a background in either; super, financial services or insurance and 3-5 years’ PQE would be very much of interest. This position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
