The Designer Role As a pivotal member of our accomplished team of 3 outstanding Designers, you will deliver projects through all stages from concept, design development, documentation, construction, and post construction. You will be empowered to liaise directly with clients, suppliers, consultants, and the construction team throughout a wide variety of projects. In addition to design work, we will look to you, to assist with keeping abreast of current and emerging design trends and products for the ongoing development of Base’s offerings. You You will be a creative, passionate and enthusiastic designer who is keen for hands on experience in the design and building industry. With university qualifications in interior design, you will have a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, specifically in workplace design. A minimum of 2 years experience in the design & construct environment would be a distinct advantage. It is essential that you are proficient in Revit and able to design and document projects using this platform. You will also need to manage the associated tasks such as the management of templates and revisions. A reasonable understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards applied to the design of commercial projects will be required. Alongside a good sense of humour and a strong work ethic, you will be equally comfortable to work independently and also as part of a team. You will be relationships driven, versatile, collaborative and engaging. With agility, and strong accountability, you will manage multiple projects, while demonstrating confidence and communicating proactively with clients and the team. You will balance great design with practical time frames. Graphic design skills would be an advantage, to assist with the development of client presentations. This is a long term, stable role with negotiable work hours, ideally 5 days per week with flexibility around set hours. Due to the nature of the role and the way we collaborate, the location of the work is onsite at the Woolloongabba office, however, in the future, some work from home hours may be negotiable.
