Position: Gastroenterology Consultant Location: Adelaide, SA Type: Part-Time, 18.75 hours per week Contract: Ongoing Salary: Total Indicative Remuneration $352,987 - $792,609 p.a. (pro rata) – MD2 About the Role: Join a dynamic team within a leading healthcare network, delivering high-quality care in gastroenterology. Contribute to comprehensive management of patients with gastroenterological conditions. Manage patient care in collaboration with Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, fellow Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals. Participate in on-call activities and ongoing quality assurance, including clinical meetings, teaching, and audits. Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement, patient safety, and clinical risk management. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert gastroenterological care and management for allocated patients. Engage in strategic planning, policy formulation, and linkages with academic institutions and government agencies. Prepare reports and make recommendations to the Divisional Director (Medical) on unit management. Facilitate and maintain relationships with consumers, the broader community, and academic institutions. Essential Criteria: Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Specialist qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Gastroenterology or equivalent. Significant experience in gastroenterology with a commitment to quality assurance and clinical education. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
