The role: Under supervision, and in accordance with Agency policy, legal, regulatory, and funded program requirements, the Health Care Assistant provides high quality care and support to community and/or facility-based clients and assists with a range of daily living activities that a person would normally do for themselves. George Town District Hospital and Community Service: The George Town District Hospital and Community Services provide 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Other services provided by the Hospital include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care. Nursing quarters are available, co-located on site for staff to utilise with shared kitchen and bathroom amenities. George Town Hospital is approximately a 35-minute drive from Launceston, George Town Hospital is centrally located, close to supermarkets/eateries and a five-minute drive to the beaches of Low Head.
