Transport Engineer for KPI Group working on Australia's Largest Major Projects Position Description: - Develop, formulate, and contribute to integrated transport infrastructure and design projects delivering actions. - Support the Infrastructure Program in delivering public realm and transport projects, with a key focus on streetscape and transport infrastructure projects. - Manage project budgets and expenditure, resource planning, and scheduling task coordination for transport projects. - Investigate, develop, document, and recommend solutions regarding traffic, parking, bicycle, and pedestrian issues. - Provide traffic engineering/planning advice, support, and assistance to stakeholders and customers relating to the design of all types of transport and streetscape design projects, development applications, and other projects as relevant. - Ensure effective and efficient open consultation, advice, and assistance, and facilitate positive outcomes for customers and the public generally in respect to all transport, traffic, and parking matters. - Evaluate and provide direction on improving transport and traffic infrastructure and systems to maximize safety and efficiency of the transport system. - Demonstrate a commitment to the development, documentation, and/or monitoring of design standards to meet quality control objectives for the Infrastructure program. - Establish and maintain relationships with community groups, relevant transport organizations, and government agencies to support the delivery of transport infrastructure and design projects, proposals, and initiatives. Qualifications / Experience Essential : - Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil/traffic engineering, transport planning, and/or related field qualification (Degree/Associate Diploma minimum) and demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications. - High level traffic engineering experience (minimum 5 years' experience) and knowledge. - Experience with budget management principles and practices. - Ability to identify funding strategies and proactively seek to establish funding streams to implement transport projects. - Provide input and advice on the viability of projects prior to approval, including pre-feasibility and due diligence. - Extensive relevant experience in designing multi-modal transport infrastructure projects, with the delivery of projects that integrate with urban design and landscape architecture. - Excellent understanding of transport infrastructure and design process and contemporary urban design principles. - Ability to write and clearly articulate within a DIT-approved Traffic Impact Statement the evaluation of a project's potential impacts on the existing and future traffic conditions and identify the necessary mitigation measures to ensure safety and efficiency. - Knowledge in traffic, transport, and infrastructure engineering disciplines, including the practical design of pedestrian, cycling, public transport, and traffic movement systems. - High level of proficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software, with desirable experience/understanding of transport modeling, project management, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite software.
