The Role The IT Systems Engineer Team Leader within the Service Delivery branch provides leadership, direction, guidance and technical expertise to the IT Systems Engineer team to ensure the availability, operation, installation and maintenance of Windows Servers, Unix servers and Data Storage Management, meet customer needs in an effective and efficient manner. In this position you will analyse performance and availability of the PTA's IT Systems and Services, identify problem areas, propose and implement solutions to enhance these IT Systems and Services and ensure knowledge sharing is embedded in the team. About you The successful candidate will have highly developed communication, leadership and management skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop a rapport with internal and external stakeholders and engage and empower teams and individuals to deliver organisational requirements. To be considered for this role, you will have: Possession of an information technology related qualification or extensive recent experience in a relevant support activity with high emphasis on Infrastructure and Storage. Experience in leading a technical team and building a strong team culture. Demonstrated experience of system administration, maintenance and support of application, OS and hardware in a Windows / UNIX server environment. Familiarity with the principles of Information Technology Service Management frameworks. Well developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and data and provide reports relating to the findings.
