Support and facilitate the delivery of services to specialist digitisation machines used by collections program staff in respect of specialised digitisation systems and storage, catalogue and collections systems using quantum storage. Assist in the creation of information and infrastructure strategic plans and roadmaps to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of organisational directives and long-term Collections development plans. Migration Projects: Ensure the safe migration of the existing AIATSIS collection from an LTO tape library to local storage or alternative tape media. Digitisation and Storage Systems: Support and facilitate the delivery of services to specialised digitisation machines used by collections program staff, ensuring compatibility with specialised digitisation systems and storage catalogue and collections systems using Quantum StorNext and iScaller 6000 tape libraries. Responsible for day-to-day monitoring with varies platforms, technical support and planning of all aspects of the network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wireless network) while ensuring ICT environment is secure. Skills and Knowledge required: Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure components and their interrelations. Virtualization Knowledge of virtual machines and hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix). Network Administration: Understanding of network protocols, routing, wireless, switching, and firewall configurations. Experience in managing relationships with hardware and software vendors. Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with hardware and software vendors. Autonomous Work: Ability to work with minimal guidance and effectively manage a medium-size computer network. Proven Experience: Several years of experience in IT infrastructure roles with a proven track record of managing complex IT environments.
