About the Team This role will join Xero's Subscription & Billing team, we collect over a billion dollars of revenue every year. Our vision is to be the billing product for Xero that scales quickly, integrates easily, enables insights while delighting customers with a beautiful self service experience. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Engineer with a strong lean towards front-end technologies. Whilst front-end components would be a big part of your day to day, you'll need to be comfortable working on .NET applications and the technologies that surround them. What you'll bring: Knowledge of web fundamentals and best practices: semantic HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript / TypeScript Awareness and experience in these aspects of web development: testing, build tooling, performance, responsive design, security, accessibility, localisation Experience building and maintaining complex web applications, preferably in React Redux Confident in upgrading tooling and technology underlying products Able to implement resilient software design patterns Knowledge of what makes a good API, be it a function, a component, or a web service What we look for in a Xero Engineer: Self-awareness and growth mindset Openness to learning from failure Honesty, transparency and encouraging of feedback Teamwork, collaboration and mentorship Customer and product focus Commitment to supporting an inclusive culture and upholding Xero's values Why Xero?
