As a key member of our Project Delivery team, you'll provide strategic direction, expert advice, and leadership in the construction, alteration, and maintenance of track assets, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and Rail Safety National Law. In this role, you will lead and manage the technical planning, design, and review of railway track projects. You will offer expert advice and strategic direction on new construction and alterations, of track assets, while fostering and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective consultation and integration of railway systems with track. You will also manage contracts and consultancies related to track and associated engineering services and stay ahead of contemporary trends in track systems for modern electric passenger and freight railways. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: Tertiary qualification in Engineering with eligibility for Membership of Engineers Australia. Extensive experience in railway planning, design, procurement, construction, and maintenance, covering elements such as rails, track geometry, sleepers, slab track, ballast, and formation capping layer. In-depth understanding of track interrelationships with subgrade, drainage, civil works, structures, geotechnical conditions, overhead electrified equipment, railway signals, and communications systems. Strong leadership and management skills in resource, people, and project management, with the ability to convert strategies into operational plans and achieve outcomes. Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with advanced conceptual and analytical abilities for developing innovative solutions. This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the city's vibrant public transport network.
