The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will play a pivotal part in the development and enhancement of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and reliability. Your role will encompass systems safety program support, focusing on the efficient identification and management of System Safety issues. You will leverage specialised knowledge to solve complex problems and direct daily activities related to project controls. From cloud infrastructure to network architecture, your insights will shape the backbone of our operations, fostering efficiency and driving performance to new heights. Some of your responsibilities will include: · Assist in shaping the System Safety Program for the projects within the business area. · Provide specialist system safety guidance to address system safety issues. · Conduct and participate in system safety discussions, working groups and ad-hoc meetings. · Support in the review / approval of artefacts developed by other staff within scope and level of Engineering Authority assigned by the Commonwealth of Australia. · Provide support to the development of relevant Engineering Tech Work Instructions to ensure compliance with CASG policy / guidance while capturing lessons learnt and best practice. · Provide engineering input to the development of the SPO’s Strategies and Plans, including policy and procedures. · Provide support to develop junior and newly posted COA staff through mentoring/coaching/guidance in specialist area of expertise and, where applicable, platform specific knowledge. · Provide reports and other artefacts relating to: o System Safety Program o Minutes of working group o System Safety recommendations What you will contribute Must have demonstrated experience in Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR), European Defence Agency requirements or European Aviation Safety Agency regulations and Aviation System Safety Management. Active NV1 Australian Government Security Clerance. Effective analytical and written communication skills.
